01 Cobra Vert rebuild

Alright so here we go on rebuilding the 01 vert. This ofcourse is 01SVTdudes old car that got hydro-locked when it drank some CC sewer water! It is now cleaned,and sitting on 18in Faleens.

I just started removing all the little small b.s from the engine to get ready to drop the K member. I went underneath it to pull off the a/c comp, and power steering pump, and I saw the carnage to the block. I hope the oil pan is savable, being as I will need it for the other motor.


I should have the K dropped today, and I will be finishing up the teksid motor tonight to try to have it all back together by tomorrow night, and in and running by Thursday or so. Depending on how much time I spend beating on the Coupra.

Alright here is were we are. I started on t at about 9am yesterday, and took this pics around 3 or so.


The block has 4 holes in it, with 5 broken rods!!!!




I pulled the crank to add to my collection, and got back to throwing the new shortblock back in it. Looking to fire it up tonight or tomorrow.
