03/04 cobra owners.. need input

one of my long time friends is getting a bone stock 04 cobra this week. he's asking me about mods for a daily driver, and most importantly exhaust.

He wants a deep/loud rumble. I'm thinking the MAC 3" catback would sound really good and not put too big of a dent in his wallet.

any input from you terminator owners on here on what exhaust and other mods are worth the money, I'd really appreciate it.

We're also talkin about hitting up Biff's on august 4th with both our cars if his is in by then, but mine only if not, just in case any cobras will be out there for him to get ideas from.

thanks LSS.

I don't have a Cobra, however, for the exhaust I'd suggest Magnaflow or Borla, along with an O/R midpipe and a set of MIL's. Then a set of 373 gears and a new shifter.

That's where I would start.

swap pulleys. that's a first on the terminators. then get a IRS pumpkin brace (BilletFlow - $150 shipped or Steeda - a few bucks more)

Mac exhaust sounds awesome imo. Mines been on the car for nearly 4 years without a problem. 2nd best sounding is a prochamber with a Magnaflow catback. Borla is nice and quiet.

MGW shifter, BF IRS brace and getting rid of the stock 4x4 look should be high on the list. If he's gonna up the boost, then cooling mods are must in here in South Texas. Heat exchanger, bigger HE reservoir tank, coolant crossover mod (LDC) and a radiator.
With a smaller upper pulley he's gonna need bigger/extra idler pulleys to eliminate belt slip.

My roomate and I both run Magnaflow. The sound is awsome. Besides the sound, the reason I bought it, was because in one of the 5.0 mags they put the exhaust on a stock cobra with just a tune and gained a little over 30 horses at the wheels with a factory midpipe. Thats a huge gain off exhaust.

X2... I run the Magnaflow on my Cobra, stock H-pipe (for now). I went from 376hp to 408hp with just the cat-back. I should be at biffs this Friday (work permitting), if you want him to hear it.
