The car made 439/405 on a dynojet with a rock steady A/F ratio of 11:1. The day it made those numbers though, it was heatsoaked as I had just pulled up to the shop when they ran it.
My bad, I though you meant that you had 20K in mods!!!

I was running a blower pulley...thats it! I hadn't installed the underdrive pulleys yet.

And, I hear you on the money thing...but if I went and installed the same amount of cash into my cobra as you have already done to your Mach then I would have a hell of alot more power than I do now. The power I have is just a few simple/basic mods. We haven't even begun to instal the REAL power mods. In the end, IMHO I just think that it is cheaper to mod a cobra to get more power than it is to mod a Mach. Eventually you are going to end up spending more than me to make as much power as I could make if I spent $ for $ with you for mods. Don't get me wrong, I hear you saying that you are making as much power as you are with only spending right under what a cobra cost but think about the power you could be making if you put that kind of cash into a cobra that is already making MORE HP than that with just a few simple mods. Like I said this is just MY opinion on the matter, If I spent the same amount of cash as you did on Mods then you would be left in the dust having to spend even more money to gain the extra HP to catch up again! Like I said before, I think that you have a great looking mach and are putting out some nice numbers *I* would just rather buy a cobra and spend the money to mod it, than buy a Mach and have to spend extra cash to get the same amount of power.

that's true. Different ratios in the Z06 T-56 + super light= faster

Ok, let me ask you one question. What did you pay for your car? Answer me this, and I will show you the flaw in your logic.

Edit: Here, lets just speculate. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Let's say you paid $24k for your car. I paid $18k for mine. I have since put $2500 in mods in it. That equals $20,500.

$24,000 - $20,500 = $3,500. That means I still have another $3,500 to spend before I even get to what you paid for your car. I think I should be able to exceed 455/486 with $3,500 . Hell, I could do it for a couple hundred bucks if I wanted to but that's not the point.

I totally hear what you are saying, but what I am saying is that you are paying the same amount of cash just to get the same amount of power that we are getting stock or at least almost stock. Dont get me wrong I am not knocking the mach at all. I have ALWAYS loved those cars, I just would rather buy a cobra spend the extra cash in the begining and then go from there. That is just my opinion on the matter!

We paid right around that price for the cobra but it came with the exhaust, tune, blower pulley, and CAI already installed, So we didn't pay extra for any of that. We got a good deal because my hubby knew the guy at the dealership. Anyway, the only upgrades we have made to it are the wheels, the underdrive pulleys, and the heat exchanger, and all that was installed after the dyno.

Like I said I hear what you are saying....I just feel like it would be a HELL of alot easier to buy a cobra and mod it then it is to have to buy a mach and swap out all this stuff just to get the same amount of power as a cobra! My Opinion...that's it!

It is all a matter of prefrence. We are all going to be right in our own minds! hehehe No big deal! You have a great looking car....mine is just faster! LMAO! J/K with ya! Anyway, it is all good. I am not arguing with you or disagreeing with you...just expressing my opinion on the matter!

Yeah, it definitely would have been easier to start out with a Cobra. I know my wife would agree since I went through countless nights in the garage and a couple tubs of GOJO hand cleaner, lol.

BTW, where did you get those hypercoated FR500's?

I believe he got them from a guy that he knows who works at LethalPerformance (not OUR Lethal here in SA...the BIG Lethal). Anyways, they were that guys and he decided he wanted to keep the stock look and JM just happend to have the cash on him at that time and offered to buy them and well..there you have it! Pure luck...right place at the right time. They are chrome and black chrome! Pictures don't really do them justice..one of those things that you have to be see it in person.

Yeah..the cobra was only on the lot for like an hour if that before JM got the call that it was there. hehehe He went and looked at it, test drove it and called me to make sure I wanted it. Then signed the papers and brought it home to me! Such a good hubby!

Ohh and yeah..I can't wait to see his t/a finished! That thing is going to be a beast for SURE!

no sir,

her 6k difference if financed over the term of 4 years at 9 percent is 25 bucks per 1000 in difference.

So she is spending 150 extra a month given exactly a 6k difference in car note.

after 1 year, that 6k has not been realized yet. she has only paid 1800 more than you. This leaves plenty of room for the occasional bolton purchase.

your comparison starts to get extremely skewed when you have to d pistons and rod and she only has her blower ported

At least you have an aluminum block so you have 75 pounds off of the front.
