Man, talk about splitting hairs, lol. Like I said earlier though, I realize that after I buy pistons (I aquired a set of Eagle forged h-beams in trade for some of my intake parts so those are paid for so to speak) and pay to get the engine assembled, I am then in the ballpark of what a Cobra would cost.

I owned a 02 supercharged yellow GT. I put ALOT of money into her both looks and muscle. Still...even procharged I got 400rwhp. Bought a much better platform and started over and I am MUCH happier with my 04 Cobra. Cobra is the best all around car and expecially for power+streetability-Shane

As you know..alot of the Mustang were not painted under the hood blanket. So I took it off to let more heat out and bent the extractor vents off. Underneath was uggllyyy. So I had it painted underneath. I like my Stang to look different so took a chance and had the vents painted black and... I love it. $400 mod that was a great investment IMHO. Appreciate it

sick, forgive my ignorance but the vents on your heat extractor... are the original factory ones that exposed? or does the heat shield block it somewhat?

there is normally a solid peice of plastic that somewhat block them if you don't remove it. I will see if I can find a picture of mine before we removed the plastic.

Okay here is a pic of Xavier's Cobra and one of mine. It is the best pic that I could find to show you the difference. It is hard to see the plastic sheilds with the under hood blanket on there, but you get the idea of the amount of air that could get in before removal.
