05+ gt CAI

I'm buying a K&N cai for my 07 gt I was told this was one of the only cai for the s197 that doesn't require a tune from a sct or diablo, etc. is that true? anyone know if there is any increase in hp or mph with the k&n without the tune. also anyone in sa know how to install?

I can do before and after dyno results if you want with wideband to look at the AFR/HP difference.

how much for dyno, i kinda wanted to do that with my car now that it is stock and after my mods. i looking to do about 5 mods in the next month from the money i received from selling old bike. power and looks to include
off road x pipe, borla exhaust(ford stingers), stripes, tint, Cai, and front springs to lower front end of car to give it a more agressive look

I will do a package deal. Do you want to supply the parts? Or do you want us to outsource them for you and give you a total installed? LMK I can do it tomorrow since my warehouse is closed and I cant get prices for the parts till tomorrow!

Do one that uses a tuner trust me.

its a waste of money to buy one that doesnt require the tune as the ONLY way it can not require a tune is if the inlet pipe is exactly the same diameter as the stock pipe there for the mass air samples the same amount of air.

the no tune cold airs < and there are 3 or 4 available > will give no more and possibly less benefit then simply putting a panel filter in the stock box as they will allow more heat to reach the incoming air then the stock box will also i ahve seend several of them < the mac in particular > that do effect the mass air curve and cause lean conditions.

85 to 90 percent of the power increase claimed by most manufactures with cold air kits comes from the tune.

I have no problem giving you our prices as they stay the same for everyone if your a lss member.

The jlt cold air and predator tuner package as a set runs 549 and you get a canned tune for the jlt that we developed and you get a before and after dyno pull and we install the cold air.

a custom tune using a predator total out the door if you want a custom dyno tune and need to purchase the predator runs 589 for lss members normaly 629 for non lss members including the predator
if you have your own parts already and need a custome tune for the vehicle a custom tune if you already have your own predator runs 300 for LSS members.

if it is a chip lss members is 450 that includes chip dyno time and the tuning complete out the door price.

front springs being macpherson struts will run you 2.5 hours labor or 175 bucks to install.

we also have a in stock set of the eibach pro kit wich lowers the car aprox 1.75 inch in front and only 1.25 in rear so it does give the car a small rake to it and we can work a good deal on those installed since they were orderd by another customer who then went a different route since he decided he wanted a 2 inch drop.

thanks for all the info but I'm a full time college student so I'm gonna stick with lethal, their prices are 20-40% less and I have had work done there before so I know they are quality. ill keep u in mind in the future when I can afford a tune and tuner. your input is always great and informative thanks.

Thanks Agent Jones for the props. I do my best not to mark up prices and pass them on to you. We have alot of volume right now so I am able to give better prices and labor rates. Ill have your prices to you today.

I had the K&N intake installed yesterday and i would have to greatly disagree with your statement about the CAI without a tune. I notice greater response, faster accleration after 3K RPM, and better gas milage by 2mpg. I was getting around 16mpg and now i get around 18mpg. that still be low but i only do city driving. Now i dont have the hard numbers you may have seen since i have not had it dynoed or anything but i love it. It is the best $100 i have sent on any car to date. The air filter is huge and i can hear the difference under the hood and exhaust with more air coming in. Around 2.5k till about 5K i can hear it
Before i was
Now im
