07 GSXR 1000 new times

Took the bike to the track again after installing my lowering link for the rear and strapping down the front. The track wasn't prepped so I know I can do better with some adjustments to the lowering link and a prepped track. It looks like my rear tire has one more track visit before I can dispose of it.

Previous best bone stock was 10.48 @ 138 MPH.

rt .6167
60 1.8557
1/8 6.9605
1/8 111.97

Tonight, straight off the trailor was...........

10.2201 @ 140.80 MPH

rt .5141
60 1.8063
1/8 6.7632
1/8 113.81

Had some crappy 10.3's and ohter junk trying different approaches.

Still had problems with the front wheel coming off the ground or traction problems so I adjusted my lowering link back to stock height. It solved my wheeling problem but I ended up having problems getting traction on top of first and second gear.

Ended the night with a.......

10.28
141.80

That was short shifting 1st, 2nd and 3rd to keep from losing traction. The front wheel stayed down and the tire didn't break lose, but I wish I could have pushed the bike to redline to see what #'s I could have got.

Thanks Don. Still gotta get that 9 now though.

+1 on being lots of fun. That and it's not as hard on the bike as it would be in my mach. Everytime I seem to take my car the track, it end's up costing me around 1k to fix it again.

The bike's not my DD so im not too worried if something should happen. I alway's have the car to take to work when it's cold out.

Yup. My dad's 04 R6 runs 11.3's pretty consistently bone stock. Im buying a strap for him to get him in the 10's.

It's fun to go to the track with my dad and race all night long. Good father/son time.

Too bad his bikes are slow.
