1/8th mile run tonight

well went to the track to kinda hone in on my 5 spd drag racing alittle cause this is the first car i've drag raced thats a stick and well i did not do so well. i guess then again it depends on how ya look at it too. keep in mind that this was on 245 yoko y240's i think (STREET TIRES)......

here was my best:

60 ft.----2.6686
330 ft----6.6251
1/8 ET---9.8162
1/8 MPH--79.58

i'm trapping what the rest of the guys were trapping but they were running the 1/8th in 8.4-8.5 range.....what gives lol.....

i know i know i need to get my 60 ft's done to under 2.0 but with street tires it just wasn't happening tonight. and with the weather as it was everyone at the track was running .2 slower then normal so.....

i guess its all in how you look at it. if i can get a set of slicks on there and get my 60 ft's done to under 2.0 i think i should be good. i mean with my trapping almost 80 and running a time of 9.8 i should be doing a hell of lost better then that lol. i know the power is in the car its just a matter of getting it to hook up.

anyways, whats ya'lls thoughts on this.

2.66

Just work on the 60 ft. you'll have to slip the clutch big time with street tires or just launch off idle and then work your way up.

Get the 60 down to 2.00 and you will go 8.81s in the 1/8th if not a bit quicker.

how does it work for 1/8? i know theoretically, for every .1 you take off at the 60', you take .2 off at the 1/4. im not good with math..........
