The projected finishing date of the project is February (end). The motor should be in it in a few weeks and the exhaust installed. Next mod planned is the suspension re-do (braces, subs, springs, shocks, struts). Next, a GER AOD with a 2400 stall (sticking with 2400 as thats when the X303 cam becomes viable). Last will be the biggest: 4.10 rear ring/pinion (from the anemic factory 2.73...dont ask, every sports car I buy manages to come with 2.73, much to my annoyance...) After that, just some paint and a window tint. should have the suspension done by christmas and the Transmission shortly after. Also, thanks for the responses, 100% usefull stuff, you people have a quality forum.

Like I said, im just getting into the "building" aspect, but I do work at a dealership and if anyone wants to know something related to Ford, I can try to help out with that.

PS. just a little thing i heard from the top, the new cobra should be out in 06 (not sure if its an early 07 model or not) and should have a 5.4 with a blower pushing 485. The Cobra will once again be a Shelby product. Again, this is not concrete, this is just what has filtered down to me, but I thought you guys might like to know. PSS, if you havent taken a look at the new 05 GT, DO SO!!! The pictures are ok, but the car is a dream. And instead of nosing over, it pulls all teh way to redline (courtesy of the 2 intake andd 1 exhaust valves.) Also, some people wonder if/when the CVT (continuously Variable Transmission) will be used in a performance car, due to the fact that it keeps the engine in its "sweet spot" almost perfectly. Sadly, the design, while perfected for what it is, is not currently up to handling the torque of a true sports car. I know noone asked about this stuff, just a few tidbits i thought would be of interest. As to the Cobra REALLY being 485...sounds a bit high to me, but it could be, in the meantime, the GT is supposed to run the 1/4 in the low-mid 13's in bone stock form. 31% more torsional rigidity. 31 spline axles (!!!!!) and a 3.55 ring/pinion (manual transmission) (standard in the GT) Also included is a Panhard bar and a center mounted control arm to help with axle windup and wheel hop. Available 1000 Watt sterio system. --All in all, a pretty sweet deal for close 30 large.
