supposedly, an h will give a little more torque(has better back pressure), while the x will give a little more hp up top.....to me the h sounds better on 5.0s while the x sounds better for 4.6 modular engines. Either way, you will most likely not tell a difference in power unless you put it on a dyno and even then you will only gain 2 or 3 more hp if you're lucky. I would go with what you like the sound of better since you notice that constantly.
