I have a 67 stang with the original wood steering wheel. It doesn't have a pad for the horn, just a metal horn with the mustang logo in the center. I can't figure out how to get the horn cap off so I can remove the steering wheel. Any help would be awesome! The cap doesn't turn, I've tried that, so now I'm lost. Thanks in advance for any help..

The whole metal part of the horn turns counter clockwise.

What he said. Turn it from the outer most tips of the chrome ring (the 3 spokes) counter clockwise

Ive tried twisting the hell out of it, but it acts like it is bolted on. Here are a couple of pic's of what im working with. Hope this helps, just cant figure this one out. Thanks guys.
