1988 5.4L fox t-bird (project)
really hate to do it, but other things have taken priority. i will consider parting the motor, and trans from the car, IF i cant sell it complete. (and by complete i mean, not running. you'd be buying a pile of parts). i have owned this car for almost 3 years, and i have countless hours in it. some of you may have had your hands in it at one time, too.
around 130,000 miles originally 5.0/AOD ENGINE: stock DOHC 5.4L from 2002 Navigator(steel crank, iron block, 36,000 miles) Sullivan intake NEW ARP balancer bolt Mach 1 exhaust manifolds NEW 6011 MSD ignition controller 650 Holley Double Pumper w/ elec. choke NOS plate kit(Cheater solenoids, but no jets) BG fuel pressure regulator NEW Jeg's 8AN braided line(not installed) '04 Mach 1 Shaker scoop(not installed) NEW Procomp 140gph fuel pump(not installed) TRANSMISSION: 95 Mark 8 AODE Wide Ratio kit PA Full Manual valvebody w/ transbrake PI 9.5" converter (around 2800 rpm stall) External trans cooler stock 95 mustang shifter Suspension: fox control arms w/ NEW sn95 ball joints NEW sn95 Lakewood 90/10 struts 4cyl mustang springs front 04 mustang gt springs rear stock replacement rear shocks Rearend: 8.8"(all new bearings and seals) 3.55 FMS gears solid pinion spacer welded axle tubes 31 spline T-Lok(4 clutch modded) 31 spline Strange c-clip axles(94-98 mustang) Wheels and Brakes: all lines replaced with 3/16" steel line Wilwood proportioning valve NEW Skinny Kid manual brake kit NEW Moroso line lock 99+ GT pbr front calipers and front rotors 94/95 spindles stock GT rear brakes 94/95 17" tri-bar wheels 245/45r17 Kumho Ecsta tires Interior: 95 mustang dash, gauge cluster, and center console 3A racing seats(comfortable, but not too soft or too hard) plastic panels and door panels were spray dyed to match the dash ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() engine bay was painted with single stage Azure Blue(03/04 mach 1 color). the car needs a gas tank/fuel cell, fuel line ran, shifter mounted and wired, exhaust, interior assembled, paint(?), and the trans leaks from the pan. the intake manifold i currently have is for EFI. you can either plug the injector holes with expansion plugs, or sell it and buy the carb version($669 + shipping from SullivanPerformance.com) i have several misc items that will go with the car. i can go over everything with the buyer. the hood has a rectangular hole cut in it for the carb to clear. i have $7,800 plus the car itself, and a few things im sure im forgetting. $5,800 obo email for add'l pics (rxracer at comcast dot net) car is located in NE Houston near Crosby.
