    1998 Mustang Cobra 39,000 miles

I am selling my 1998 Cobra Mustang with only 39,000 miles on it. It has 4:10 gears, bbk cold-air intake and it has been lowered with eibach pro kit springs. It has brand new Hankook tires all the way around. It is in emaculate condition and garage kept. Never been in an accident and still has the original paint. Leather seats have no rips or tears and are in excellent condition. No stains in the carpet and never smoked in. Comes with a car cover and all the original parts: springs, cold-air intake and gears! $13,000! [email protected]

Trust me...everyone here has felt the pain of putting money into a car and not getting back what they spent. If you're really set on that price, be patient until the right buyer comes along. It took me 6 months to sell my 82 GT and I still sold it for $1000 less than what I had hoped for. If you plan on having it sold faster, it's unfortunate, but you'll probably be dropping the price again.

I was told once when looking for this car that you can't go by KBB on older cars like these that have been modded. He was asking $10,000 for a 90 coupe. It was worth like $5,000 in KBB.

Just hang in there, if you are not in a rush to sell. Someone will buy it. Just keep it at 13k OBO for a while. I love the 96-98 cobra's. Only other Cobra I would buy would be 03/04. You dont see alot of our Cobras out on the road anymore.

KBB is a joke. Its all in the market and the buyer. If you find someone that has to have it they will pay the $12-$13K for a low mileage clean car. You just have to wait. The car you have is worth more as their are few that are clean and low mileage, you just need wait. Last Yukon I had to dump $1600 into and was only able to recoup $600 of it over what I throught it was worth. Many told me is was not worth it, well it sold for $7500 and I was asking $8K. I just had to wait for the right buyer.

I appreciate all the love for the car. I want to sell it so i can buy a boat! It is a third vehicle just sitting in the garage collecting dust. I work at a chemical plant and don't want to drive it to work!

That is a seriously clean low mileage 98 Cobra you have there. Just stay firm on your price. Someone will be willing to pay at least $12k for something as clean and low mileage as yours. Just look around 96-98 Cobras are all beat to shit and look like ass these days.

Cars are worth whatever some one is willing to pay-KBB is a Guide, not a bible, based on averages. On a 98 with less than 40k, you just need to find the right buyer. Try websites that cater to enthusiast, like SVT forums, ect. Good luck with that clean car.

I can see you getting 10-11K out of it.
Only thing that hurts now adays is that banks use these guides when handing out loans and a lot of people don't have 10K sitting around.
