1st Annual Cruise to Poteet Strawberry Festival

The Strawberry Festival will be held on April 11th, 12th, and 13th this year. I try to head out every year with my family, but I am going to try and make this an LSS event. It would be a nice cruise to be able to have. The plans I have so far are to meet up somewhere to have breakfast at 11:30 am Sunday morning (13th of April) have breakfast, the head out to Poteet at around 12:45. This thread is to get interest and there will be a final thread made, if enough people want to go. I will go whether there is a big LSS showing or not, so if you want to head out there for sure, just let me know. The entrance is $7 a person, and children 12 and under are free. The entertainment is free, the food is GREAT, the strawberries are the best around, its for a good cause, the cruise will be fun, and all in all, it should be a great meet. Entrance will be $10 at the gate, the $7 per person is a special group rate, so let me know if you are interested so I know how many to order.

You dont need a stang to head out there with us, by the way guys I sent an email to the co ordinator to see if we can get a group rate, I doubt it since they get so many people there, but you never know. I am also going to ask for permission to get special parking to where we can set up our cars. You never know we might be able to get it, so shine up your rides. And Jeff, we might need you to bring the banner this time...lol.

IF I can get us special parking privileges(sp?) I will set up a shine and show type of meet the previous week or the Sat right before to get our cars looking right, I know I need some help with my chin spoiler and etc. I am also trying to find a good tint place to get us group discounts, etc.... I want LSS to go BIG, and with your support, participation, and help we can do it.

There is also a Helicopter on the grounds that you can take rides on, not sure what they charge though. Also a mini rodeo going on, and huge fair grounds. So basically a mix between Fiesta and the Rodeo, with better food, and family orientated.

There is a Denny's right on 35 and Military, just an idea, but there are other restaurants around.

Saturday? or Sunday?? You may get more nibbles on a Saturday; since a lot of people attend Church on Sundays ... (Just a thought.)

I'd go either way! I am a heathen and don't attend church ....

I've been before, and it's a blast!!!!

I do but I keep my car at my shop in SA. It's over by 10 and Foster. so either way i'm down for the cruise.
