2000 Pwr Window - Help

We bought a 2000 mustang about 6 months ago. - the driver door window is rolling up too high and hitting the roof line.

After removing the door panel the window stops are actually pushing the clip that hold the glass to the glass channel loose. The clip on the bottom of the glass is held in place by slicone.

First question - is the glass suppose to be attached to the clip by silicone?

2nd Question- what adjustment needs to be made to stop the window motor from rolling up so high?

Of course if it were my car - i'd stop from hitting the roof by not rolling it up so high...but my 16 yr old daughter cant seem to master that.

The window is held by the RTV at the base. The adjustment, and not much, remove the panel, at the center of the door, there is a straight bar about 8 inches long, loosen the bolts and lower that track some. Other then that, unless the upper guides (the ones that keep the window from leaning while the door is open and the window up) they may be loose. You can try to looses that nut and move them down some.
