im interested, not trying to lowball you but not sure y such the high asking price....KBB says the trade in value is 2280 and the retail value from a dealership would be 3200. so the private party value would be somewhere inbetween there. the trailer is another 500...so i guess i would offer 3000...

From KBB website
2000 Sea-Doo RX 2-Pass Value

June 21, 2008
2-Cylinder
2-Stroke
951cc
Trade-In Value (Good Condition) $2280 Trade-in Value is what consumers can expect to receive from a dealer for a trade-in watercraft assuming an accurate appraisal of condition. This value will likely be less than what you would receive from a private party sale because the reselling dealer incurs the cost of safety inspections, reconditioning and other costs of doing business. Trade-in values are based on clean units in good condition. Hours/condition and additional equipment may have a substantial impact on the value shown above.

NADA average retail = $4150 - with single PWC Trailer = $4560

First you must remember that when you are looking up the blue book it takes avg of hours which for a 2000 model should be in the mid to high 100's. Also trade in value is always low so they have room to make money. This water craft is in perfect condition and has over $2000 in a new motor. If you really looking to buy we can work on the price a little but not much....

thats retail..retail means to buy from a dealership. your a private party so that would be between retail and trade in.

even on NADA it says 4100 for HIGH retail and 3600 for LOW retail. and again private party would be lower than retail. these prices include a trailer if you read the bottom of the NADA website

PRICING

Low Retail Average Retail

$3,660 $4,130
Reported Engine Range: 115 - 135 HP (3.0L)
Total adjustment for your engine(s): N/A
TOTAL PRICE $3,660 $4,130

Notes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(*)INCLUDES THE VALUE OF THE TRAILER. --

again not trying to low ball you but this would be my first boat.....if you dont get your offer i will be willing to pay around 3500

sorry but i will not pay more than $3900 in value, wether it cash or a combination of cash and trade, which was actually a stretch for me, i really dont wanna pay more than $3600. Not that i cant afford to pay more, but I just dont think its worth more than that when compared to the NADA and KBB values. I understand that you feel it is worth more. Its your item and you can hold out til you get what your asking for, which i hope you do. I can respect the fact that you will not accept anyting less than 4500. Nothing against you i just wont pay more than what i think any item is worth....GOOD LUCK with the sale.
