Hey guys, me again, I really need some help finding a good place to get my tranny rebuilt i just ordered a blower from JMSCHIP.com and i know my poor old tired tranny most likely won't take the wake up call I'm about to give it so I looking for a very good place to take it and it doesnt really have to be here in Bryan/Collegestation but at least within our own forum region. I would greatly appreciate it stangerz. Thanx

what blower setup did you buy?
is your tranny failing right now? as long as you keep the fluid fresh it can last a while. I make good power through my tranny. I do have a PI stall and a lentech valvebody though.

Its the vortech 2v sq s trim tuner kit w/an aftercooler, i only plan on adding around 200rwhp right now with the blower and other add on like exhaust, intake mandifold and plenum/tb. lower gears, i was thinking 3.73's plus upgrading my suspension to the Maximum motorsports street and strip package. JMS is offering a package i saw online that adds 150 rear wheel horse and some how they got that with out an aftercooler so i am going to add one for more power. But no my tranny is fine for now, i just abuse the hell out of it zipping through and around town. Plus i was asking the dealer ship about the tranny and they said its not the same one used in the 99-03 gt's its a different one that sucks harder than the one you have. They told me that if i even attempted to push more than 300+ horse not rwhp but at the crank i would probably lose my tranny due to over stressing it or something like that. So yeah i need a shop bad! Any ideas??????

first of all, the majority of ford techs don't know a whole lot.
i would see how it goes once you install the parts. I bet it will hold for a little while atleast. by zipping through town, i hope you don't mean trying to manually shift your auto. That is not good no matter how much power you have. also, you don't want to go over 400rwhp generally speaking. I also would never accept a mail order chip and assume it's right, they did tell you to put it on a dyno before you put your foot in it, right? why did you choose the vortech aftercooler? what other supporting mods are going along with your tuner kit? injectors?, pump?, spark?, MAF?, IAT?

Yeah i understand that but i would rather get at least something done to my transmition that nothing so i have that reassurance, know what i mean plus after thinking for a little while i called steve at JMSchip back and canceled my order just cause there were alot of unanswered questions about there kit. But it would have come with an sct2 hand held tuner. And i'm not really surprised to see that alot of companies online are backed up so far that i am going to have to wait between 2 weeks and 6 weeks just to get everything i ordered so i need to ask another question now before its to late and im stuck with what i bought and cant cancel them. Since i wont be going with a Vortech and plus my heart has always been set on a true blower, i want to really go with a 1.7l kenne bell kit. Run it at 9psi and be happy surviving on 92 octane gas. But i dont know anyone that has one or has even heard of them for that matter. So what do you guys think? I mean with a Kennebell i wouldnt have to buy a different mandifold and when i look at it everything i was going to buy for the vortech setup and everything i would get for the blower set up would cost about the same but the kenne bell produces more power at lower psi. Fully street legal, all psi for the 1.7l kit run off the same tuning program and the only thing i would need to crank up the juice to its max of 14psi would be a pulley change and to fortify the internals.

seriously man, you should come out to our bbq sat., i have been through your dilemma a few times and i could answer many of your questions.
I am glad to hear that you cancelled your order from JMS. I am not a fan of their mail order history. If you want a perfect mail order centrifical kit i know the perfect place. If you want a KB kit, it will probably be best to order straight from them, but the downside is you have to work with them on the tuning if you want to keep their warranty. Some shops have deals worked with KB that allows them to tune, but the kit and the install would have to be done through them. The KB kit would be great for an auto, i was going to do the same thing, but i wanted a blower with a lot more lung capacity in order to reach my overall goal. The KB would be a blast on the street. Show up to the BBQ and you can check out my "little" centri.

86 sleep i really wish i could show up but i'm in Virgina until sunday and even then i wont be back till late. I really wish i could show up. But maybe next time or i can just catch up with you some other time and see whatcha got then?

Thats weird so was i, i stopped going to sonic on friday nights after a few months when i had my little boy i just didnt have alot of extra time to go if you know what i mean. I was a single father for a long time and just got married but still have a ball and chain. lol You may remember me i dont know i drive a black 04 gt with a saleen/cobra r body kit and cobra r wing and have blue neons underneath my car? Ring any bells by chance? Anyways i will show up wednesday and see if your out there. We can chat then about random shit. And i really hope your right about the tranny, i mean KB sends the chip that is also supposed to change some of the tranny configs so that it can take the extra power with out having to get it rebuilt i just dont know man, i want to trust it but i dont know anyone that has or has had one to ask if it works or not. But i guess theres only one way to find out. he he he
