2004 v6.. yes.. i said v6

2004 silver 3.9L v6.
im making it into my senior year project.
ive only had it since spring break of this year and i already have: flowmaster super 40s/catted h/ebay CAI/ black 18X10 fr500s/03-04 cobra hood

my goals for this are

by christmas:
long tube headers (with either an H pipe or just straight pipes)
tuner with either a custom tune or have it dyno tuned.
short throw---maybe

by the end of my senior year:
drop
tlok
ud pullies (if i dont get a big stereo system)
new front bumper (not sure which one yet)
cut out the rear bumper and raise my exhaust tips
interior dress up
shift knob
black outs on the hood (where the indentations for the vents are)
black out between tail lights
tint

keep in mind that i have a highschool job getting paid 8 an hour. still going out with friends all the time and everything so i think those are some pretty good goals for the year. what do yall think

I have a rear bumper cover that needs a repair Ill let ya have for 40 bucks. Its white with blacked out letters and center section (painted not decals)came off my MACH
You will want some type of H or X for sure to balance out the exhaust
A short throw is a good investment yo will be happy if ya get one
Good luck

save your money for fun in college, trust me. Its annoying to explain "things" your car is doing throughout college. That is if you plan on transporting women.

More than that I mean keep it a reliable car through college. No power adders, cams, etc.

once you get LTs, I would try a magnaflow exhaust for a smooth nice v6 sound. Flowmasters are a nasty combination with a full exhaust v6. a straight through muffler like a borla or magnaflow will sound best and make the best power.

MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust - For American Muscle Cars

sounds like a 350z and that is a great sound

i might look into that. but ill at least keep the flows for alittle while because getting magnaflow would just mean more money hahaha. but ill see how it sounds. i just cant wait to get the LTs in

if you cant swing a magnaflow catback, welding in some borla XS will offer a similar sound and the best power potential. They are the quietest at idle and will haev a nice roar at wot.

ok im going for some revising.

im about to purchase some lt's (anyone selling any)
then i plan on getting an xcal 2
then ill probably get a tlok
then comes the good stuff.
im going to save up and buy new cams rockers springs and all that stuff.
before i get them installed ill buy some new heads too.
then ill have all of that installed and have a dyno tune.

once i get that done ill do some of the other stuff i had talked about. i just want some more power and no a v8 isnt an option (and neither is a supercharger anymore unless a miracle happens)

v8's are not an option with my parents (insurance and all that jazz.. im only 17) so im just going to have to do what i can to make the power a v8 would. (haha ironic right? well they still think its a v6 and "only a v6")

well here are my dads reasons...

"insurace, maintanance, gas, power"

insurance might not be that big of a difference gas can be about the same depending on how you drive, maint. of a v8...well they might not be AS reliable but they can be reliable, and power.. well lets just say my parents dont know how much power will come from cams/head/full exhaust/dynotune..

and ive only had my car since spring break...

well all in all i know my parents wont let me get a GT

my dad was thinking about letting me get a supercharger on my car (weird right?) but then he was just like.. no.. insurance wont cover you if you crash at the track so you cant get the supercharger because i dont want you street racing (even though i dont street race, but he doesnt believe me)

but now he wont let me do anything too much to my car like a supercharger or something because he doesnt want me taking my car to the track and crashing it (even though ill still probably end up taking my car to the track every once in a while until i get some decent mods)

butttt in the end i dont think im going to get a v8 or a supercharger or anything like that...

in a good note i got a new mod today. LSS quarter window decals! got them today and i put the drivers side decal on and i was like ya that looks good! so i goto the other side to put it on and what do you know.. a big barcode sticker (to get through a gate) is on that window in the way. so right now im runnin around with only the drivers side decal on but i plan on ripping that barcode sticker right off to put the lss decal on! its more important! hahaha. ill just roll down the window and hold up the barcode sticker if i have to go through that gate.. or just follow someone in or something!

now i just need to clean my car so i dont give LSS a bad name! hahaha

well ill get the passenger side decal on, wash my car, and take some pics soon (well.. asap.. which means fitting it around work school yardwork and so forth...but hopefully soon)
