2007 Ford Mustang GT vs 2001 Ford Mustang Cobra

Hello I have a 2007 Ford Mustang GT and my friend has a 2001 Cobra, both are completely stock and i was wondering if anyone knows if i would even stand a chance against him.

Tough call on that one , I'd give the slight edge to the 07 but not by much .

I'd give the GT the advantage if you're just gonna run them 0 to 60 or so....after that the 4V kicks butt in the higher rpm ranges...sneak in some 4.10's on him and just run light to light so you get the win. :-)

this is true swingle tingle(lol)

if you guys are going from a roll(at the track of course) then i'd give him the edge, if going from a stop i'd give it to you

Pretty sure you'll take him even from a roll. Most NA cobras i've seen are trapping about what the 3V motors are. Just what i've been seeing though.

GL and let us know how it turns out!

I'm gonna agree with everyone else about the IRS.

But a video would be great to see...

Well we did the race last night down potranco between miltary and hwy 151 and i was suprised to win from both a 15mph rolling start and from a dead stop. Won by half a car length and was still pulling away when i decided to slow down. I do want his exhaust though its deep as hell at idle and when driving away.
