2007 Mustang Fuel Filter

Anyone know how hard it is the change the fuel filter on a 2007 gt? i am about to go over 13k miles and the dealer says that it needs to be changed at 15kmiles. I have had all oil changes and work done at the dealership however they want 85 bucks for a fuel filter change. I thought it should be alot cheaper. If thats the normal price i guess i can pay it but does anyone have a diagram or know how easy/hard it is to do yourself?

I have had mine changed once and it has 55,000 miles. I had the ford dealer do it. Does the manual say to change it that often? No one ever mentioned that one to me.

If it is anything like changing the filter on an '02, it's really easy. Is it located by the rear bumper?

See the pdf attachments for location and instructions. Got them from post number 20 at the link below. It's on the left side frame. You'll need a disconnect tool to disengage the fuel line lock from the filter. Some people can manage to disconnect the fule lines with a screwdriver, but you run the risk of damaging the internal locking mechanism, then your fuel line won't stay on. I have a set of disconnect tools if you need to borrow them.

I got 34k on my 05, never changed it, didn't know it was that often either, but figured it was getting about that time.

15,30,45,60,75K you get the idea.
Every 5th oil change,blah,blah,blah.
I change them whenever I think about it,
sometimes thats once a year but I dont put
15k on anything in a year.

44k on my oem fuel filter. I am about to chg it out as well as my plugs. 45-50 on a fuel filter is no biggie if you get your gas from good stations. The car co wants you do it often so they can make $$$$$.
