yall guys are dicks,need to chill out,i dislike imports but there not handing the trophy over to them,the rules seem fair to me.man up or shut up,a rear wheel drive car with a drag radial or mt et street will out hook a fwd vehicle with slicks,is that not so hard to belive.
20$ is good price to enter,it cost that much just to go on a regular wed on fri.
this event seems fun and i would enter if it wasnt so hot outside,and no the fastest car is not going to win,there picking the tightest 16 and the race will be won on the arm drop.
i do agree that alot of people aint gonna show up,it does seem kinda ricer,but if it was sometime in in october or november i would go

its not a rant its the truth,these guys worked hard to put on a event on a sunday,not wed,fri,sat...but on a sunday so u know they had to pay extra.
they invite us to there event then half this thread turned into bashing there event and how there bending the rules for certain cars.
everyone has the right to voice there opinions but my god get off yalls high horses and stop complaining.the event is for car enthusiast,not just for v8 powered cars.

a fwd vehicle will need slicks and pray that it goes 1.7'

i kinda agree with you,but its there event and the way i see it there just trying to make it even for every one.so what if a fwd vehicle needs slicks to compete with drag radial rwd vehicles.
the point of classes is to try to keep the cars in a tight field.

Right, but you dont have a running race for "everyone" and tell the Olympic runners they need to run in potato sacks because they're faster than all the fatties. You make two classes, Olympic runners in one, and fatties in another.

On that last note. We are talking about drag racing. So the point is to get from end to end as fast as possible. Not saying that imports suck, do not misconstrue my words. If some guy showed up on a lawn-mower with a damn rocket attatched to it and ran a 8.65s, then by golly his set-up is superior. If I show up with snow chains on my wheels, and some other guy shows up with street tires, his is superior. If I drive a Civic, and I wanna race a Camaro, I gotta do what allows my car to be fastest, as does the other driver. Not doing so is like giving a damn headstart, and there are races for that, this isnt one of them. So... put your car in a different class with cars like itself. RWD:RWD, AWD:AWD: FWD:FWD, or even just n/a:n/a, Fi:Fi, you get the picture.

i get the picture but theres lots of classes out there that get handicaps,look @ the clash of the titans same concept,bracket racing is the same deal.its there to make a tighter field....anyways maybe i over reacted but i hate when lots of people start crying and complaining,just go out there and race always someone faster,usually the person with deeper pockets

I think you could have done a lot better if you were to feather it out of the hole. It sounded to me like you were just mashing the hell out of it and praying it would hook. Not bashing, just my observation from the other side of the wall.

Mid 12's... Nah I wasn't smashing it. Some reason just tapping the gas this car want some come alive. Was even launching at 1k. 3rd gear finally felt traction.
