Timing Cover Questions

1. What are the differences between the years? Mine's a 2000...

2. How hard is it to swap? (ie, how long should it take)

3. Special tools required?

4. Special parts? I'm assuming a gasket, what else?

5. Anything I should check out while it's off, or replace while I'm there?

6. Do I have to pull the crank pulley?

My 2000 GT has a crack around the tensioner mount (just down the belt from the alternator). I replaced the pulley with one from Ford yesterday, drove it 70 miles, and it was already making noise again. I haven't pulled off the new one, but I do know the old pulley was shot - you could shake it and it rattled. I've decided I'm going to replace the whole timing cover, since it is cracked a little more than 1/2 way around the protrusion the pulley mounts over, and we really can't tighten the bolt enough. Keep in mind that I have no garage and I borrow jacks and jackstands! I really need help
