Someone with a snap-on or similar scan tool... even if there isn't a MIL light on, you could be spitting codes... see if that will narrow it down

9 times out of 10 on a Ford if the IAC shows a resistance that it does not like it will set a CEL. Every now and then it will set a pending code and sometimes it will store it but not set the CEL. IF the CEL has come on and went right back off while the car is running it set a code then. I can bring my scanner out Friday if I dont forget and see if it shows any pending codes.
