Seriously, before you say we don't welcome people, actually try and come to an event where we make it a point to welcome people. Don't misunderstand; I'm not saying you have to like me, or the club. It's not for everyone, and I accept that fact. But don't go to only one event, and say we are noob haters. Everyone was a noob once, and all the officers, IMO, recognize that fact.

im not saying that i dislike you at all. i havent even met you. how could i dislike you?
agreeing with 86sleepers comment... wednesday and friday nights are NOT LSS meets. hell, i think ive been out to sonic maybe like 3 times this school year, and never out on wednesday night. the only person from LSS who has is 86sleeper i believe. this BBQ will be the first event LSS has had in 2 years because we've been really slow and too busy with personal stuff to get the site back up and running. but now we're back. we'll be having meets more often if this bbq is successful, which it appears it will be.
i guarantee that if you were to come out to our bbq, you would get nothing but kindness from myself and any other people from LSS (unless they already have some grudge against you from TAMSCC which i know nothing about, nor can control, nor would it have anything to do with LSS).
as far as coming out to your meets... it sounds like MOST of those you mentioned were for club members only, or noobs who are willing to pay to get into the club at that meet. besides, you shouldnt have specific meets set aside to make people feel welcome at those meets. it should be a priority at EVERY meet. wait, not necessarily a priority. let me rephrase that... an UNCONCIOUS (spelling?) ACTION. being nice isnt something you should have to try to do. it should be something you do without even noticing. when we used to go out to the track every wednesday in SA back in the day, we had plenty of LSS noobs come out there all the time to race with us. there was plenty of time to make the noobs feel welcome before racing, inbetween runs, and after you made all your runs. i mean, its common courtesy and common sense, really. i mean, do you want someone showing up to your meets all the time, and representing your club if you barely know them? hell no. everyone who wishes to be a part of LSS, i want to be friends with. i want to know about them, who they are. not just their name, but really know who they are.
i mean, to me, there are two kinds of car clubs.
1) clubs where people join to meet other people with a common interest.
2) clubs where you can show off that you're in it, or try to prove your worth.
LSS is the first one. notice i said TO MEET OTHER PEOPLE. thats what this club is based on. not based on showing your car off, or trying to be the fastest. its not competition. leave the competition to the ricer street racers. clubs are about having fun, meeting people, networking. i just didnt see much of that with my limited experience with the group.
im just saying that i cant think of one single meet that LSS has had when making people feel welcome was a problem or hinderance.
just to let you know, im not trying to be a dick, in fact, im more so explaining what i perceive the club's problems to be. you should take this more as input to you, something yall could talk about at an officer meet or whatever. try to determine where the problem lies, and if my incident was a individual occurance, or if this is the basic feeling of all TAMSCC critics.
and also as mike said, i agree that this is doing nothing but making yall look worse, carrying this on on LSS. would be better if you PM me if you would like to talk further about the matter.
