You must swap out the throttle shaft and arm from the stock mustang TB.

Not worth the effort imo for the tb.
The valves are correct for the gt-40, but the gt-40p has a smaller exhaust valve, like 1.46.
and im pretty sure the p's came out on the exlporers and mercury mountanier earlier then 99, i could be wrong on that though.
