Thanks for all the info. I called and talked to Lawrence Auto Title. They are really nice and answered all my questions. Here is the info that they gave me, sorry if I left something out, I’m going off of my memory.
They told me that you will need to send them a check for $100.00, a Bill of Sale (has to have the year, make, model, and VIN on it), a letter with your name, address, phone number, what the situation is, and that you want a Bonded Title. They will fill out all the paperwork and send it to you. When you receive the paperwork you have to finish filling it out and have the vehicle appraised by a car dealer. If the car is not operational, you can have it appraised using a photo of the vehicle. After you have the paperwork and appraisal completed, send them the paperwork and appraisal back with a check for the cost of the bonded title ($100.00 for $6667.00 or less). When you receive the Bonded Title, you have 30 days to take it down and get a Texas Title before it expires or you will have to go through the process again.
