You guys do know you have to get your speedo recalibrated? I do know that 4.10s will run up miles on your odometer if you dont fix it. There's a gear thingy fixer, forgot the name, or you can also go with a tuner and fix it. 4.10s will kill your milage age by 1-2mpg, I think it raises your rpms once you configure it with a tuner or gear calibrator but it's still probably worth it becuase it lets you dig into your power band faster allowing you to get an edge on your opponet.
Some say 4.10's are more sutable for autos and 3.73 for manuals, becuase 4.10's might be a little too steep for manuals, but either will work fine. |

yes. You will need a Speed-Cal in order to correct the Speedometer after installing the gears.
I have 4.10s and i have a manual transmission. Gas milage does suffer a little. but if you bought your Mustang for good gas milage, that was your first mistake.

not a v6, but you can also buy a speedo gear to fix it its less money BUT it won't fix other stuff like tire stuff like the speedcal will.
my gas milage went up with 4.10's by like 1 mpg |

Prior to 1996, Ford Mustang speedometers could be recalibrated by switching a small plastic gear inside the transmission. In 1996, Ford switched to electronic speedometers with no adjustability.
