3.8L exhaust.. hope for the underdogs

There maybe hope for some of yall that are on v6's like me. My exhaust setup and clips, and then a comparitive GT's (underoath)


Year: 2003
Mods: 25% ASP UDP, Magnaflow Cat-back, Spintech X Mufflers, Magnaflow High-flows, custom H pipe, SCT xcal2, 3.73

gears, t-lok, steeda T5 short throw, Al. Driveshaft, 3/8 Manifold Spacer, K&N FIPK Gen II, steeda clutch adjustor

kit.


Rev to 3k then to 6k

Mods: JLT Cai,70mm BBK throttle body,C&L plenum No pre cats,highflow magnaflow cats with X-pipe, Dynomax bullet

race mufflers, 2.5in piping all the way back. Stock headers.

ehhh, i could still tell the diffrence between the 6 and eight.
IMO no matter what mod's, you could never make a 6 sound like an 8.

no one said it did, just a meer effort to show the v6's that it can sound much better than they think.

I THINK IT SOUNDS NICE BUT IF YOU WANT TO HEAR A BAD ASS V6 GO TO YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. IN THE SEARCH BUTTON TYPE IN "THE BEST V6 MUSTANG" A GREEN MUSTANG WILL COME UP CHECK IT OUT THATS THE BEST ONE I'VE HEARD SORRY I DONT KNOW HOW TO PUT THE URL OR WOULD OF DONE IT LOL

beats me; go look for him on 3.8; that's his exact sn.

As for his setup; he's got LT's on mac prochambers with all 4 cat's cut. I forgot if he had an X or an H.

Mine doesn't exactly sound all that great unless you hear it in person or if you got the camera closer to the actual tails themselves.

uh huh some other guy that said he knew him said he has flowmaster 40s, magnaflow x pipe, mac long tube headers, no cats, ported heads-3 angle and ported intake, 207/21 51.7lca camshaft and during the video he was only firing 5 cylinders. but i dont know if he was telling the truth or guessing...

that green stang has to be camm'd, atleast that's what it sounds like. it fooled me for an 8 we he 1st fired it up, but after that it all went dwn hill i really didn't fall in luv w/ the sound.

IMO keep a 6er sleeper. you can nver make one sound great. the only one i've heard that was pretty good was jeffs (bandit) and i guess cause his isn't all that loud, just right

uh sorry guys that was the wrong guy the setup I posted up above belongs to greensteeda but I heard his car as well and it sounds nice but in the higher rpms it sounds like a loud ass ricer but its still a nice exhaust, he has the same car but the two of them are friends however I did find out the setup for the guy in the youtube video mac CAI, ASP UDP, 207/215 rpm cam, rpm ported/ milled heads, rpm ported/ milled lower intake, mac LT headers, magnaflow x pipe with custom 2.5" piping to/from it, GT takeoffs catback, flowmaster 40 series mufflers

Wow, old thread. But just to update; I'm getting a SSM powerpak stage 2+ installed from Super Six Motorsports With a 218/224 compbillet cam. First of 2 UPS packages to arrive Monday hopefully get them installed by the end of the week.
