3.9 electric motor?

I've had my 2004 v6 for a while now and theres one thing about it that gets on my nerves. It sounds like an electric motor when I press on the gas. Is this normal? if so, what is it and can I do anything about it?

Is it maybe due to installed sterio equipment..........

Its normal. The noise is the whine from the accessory drive and components.
