302, 331 or 351?

I know this gets posted at stangnet more than anything ever, but I have a catch:

I've got a 302 with 125000 miles on it. It runs fine, but i'd like to start over now so I can eventually get blown :jeff:

I've got a couple of minor mods (heads, cam, ...) done, and the thing is that i've never actually rebuilt an engine. I'm a relative newbie. I would like to avoid buying one all ready, basically going the cost-efficient route (without sacrificing quality).

I'm looking at max $3000 for a new engine replacement (not including blower, new bolt ons)... I'd like to get to 375 RWHP eventually, what would my route be?

Also, this engine is running like a champ. Compression tests speak volumes. What do you think about just getting a s/c now?

If your engine is still running strong now, no reason not to put the blower on it now. I have 155000 on mine and it is still running strong.

If you decide to do an engine replacement, go with a 331.I love my 347 :jeff:

No replacement for displacement. I would go with the biggest thing you can afford. If your going with a 351 why not jump to a 393? Wouldnt cost much more.

i haven't even owned a V8 and others here will better answer your question. i do know one thing, the more people you know and the more do-it-yourself (DIY) you are, the less you'll have to pay.

If you plan on going with a blower then just go ahead and do it!Add the heads,cam and other stuff later.:jeff:
