you can do it but you have to change the motor mounts (k member also?) and a lot other stuff. Do a PI swap and a leaf blower and you'll be happy!

It can be done but if you are going to go through the trouble , why not go with a stroker engine instead ?

the motor is coming pretty cheap and most of the electrical stuff will be free. so ill pay mostly labor on the things i dont do with my teacher on the weekends. the p.i. idea was up in the air with the 302 thought.

what is done to the motor?

when doing a budget 302 swap the best thing to do is get an explorer 302 crate motor. You get the benefits of better heads and intake already. Upgrade the springs and popp in a cam. then you have yourself something worth swapping.

swapping in another motor that makes 225 hp is not so wise. if you do, find a set of LTs before the swap.

it depends on what you will do to the 302 that is going in whether you should do it or not. what are your ultimate goals? 300 rwhp? If so, you are better off doing a pi swap with vt stage 2 cams

There's a guy selling a complete 4.6 block for 50 bucks he said, don't know the specifics though PI or NPI.

The real difference is the plenum location. But also PI or NPI. But everything is bolt on or bolt it over in a swap.
