Lightbulb 302 roller block in '65????

I bought a 302 rollerblock that needs a few things like induction and flexplate oilpan etc. It came with the stock 93 alternator. Will i be able to use it in my classic mustang. If so how do i hook it up. Also it did not have a distributor with it. What kind do i need if its going to be carb'd? I dont think my stock 289 dis will fit due to the teeth. I was thinking about going to autozone and getting a carb'd '85 mustang 5.0 dis. Would that work. thanks for any help...

what year block is it?
You will be able to to put it in your 65 with no problem. You have a 6 bolt bell housing on your c4. Im not sure about the dizzy though. I would buy an accel dizzy along with the coil and wires. get the ignition system really setup good.

Get a distributor for an 85 Mustang 5.0 5 speed.
!st year for roller cam and last year for carb.
You will need to convert to Duraspark but
that is easy.
It will have a steel gear which you will need for
the roller cam in your late model 5.0.
Your alternative is to buy a steel, bronze or
polymer gear for your original dist and you
could convert the points to electronic with
a Pertronix kit

I am doing the 85 conversion deal as we speak
on the race wagon.

You will need all 50 oz imbalance stuff,(flexplate and
balancer)andmake sure the flexplate has the right bolt
pattern(there are 2, 10.5 bc and 11-7/16 bc).
