s281sc=supercharged 4.6L, they're all based on gt engines though, so have either a 2v (up to 2004) or a 3v engine. my question has always been, do they do any internal work to the engine? i dont think they do, so an s281sc is just that, a blown gt with some suspension/body mods. now if someone tells me different and they build the motors and then blow them, well then i think i'd be onboard the saleen loving train.
nothing internal on the 4.6 is different, but i believe they have a freer flowing intake, diff exh, and a different tune from the GT.

the number in the saleen badge is the engine size: 4.6L=281 CID, 5.8L=351 CID.

s281 is N/A, sc281 is blown. kinda like the difference between stage 2 and stage 3 roushes.
