They flow about the same as a GT-40 head, but you must use the reduction washers or bolts and have hardned valve seats installed. You wont raise compression much unless you have them milled then you may run into P-V interference. If you can find a set of 289 heads that are ported you can bump up compression pretty good and have a somewhat decent head without milling them.
289 heads are GREAT for bumping compression...I believe that they are 54cc...
