you know in 17 years I have never written a ticket under 10 over and not one for no license plate light.....these guys must get chicken shit with tickets because they are either over compensating for something they don't have or
someone took thier lunch money when they were in school!!!!!

Wow, pretty generalized statement and thread title. I assume you are just irritated with Windcrest and venting, hence I will reserve my opinion of and experiences with the almighty better than thou SAPD.
On a lighter note, I also have never written a ticket for less than 10 mph over in my 17 years of Law Enforcement and generally dont for anything less than 13 over anymore. As a K9 officer, I do make stops for equipment violations and things that are regarded as feather legged when I am "hunting" but cant recall ever actually writing a ticket for one.
I worked court Wed night for the 1st time in years and noticed that a new officer of ours issued a citation for a defective headlight. I went out and checked it for the prosecutor and it was dismissed without fine, but I couldnt beleive a citation was actually written for it. Talked to that officer about it and hopefully it wont be a regular thing with him.
Im sure it can all be worked out with a phone call though. Good Luck.
