Not that I expect an officer to let someone off because his kids are cops, but I feel the comment was uncalled for. 
I have written citations for as little as 11 over when I was a rookie. I will not write one now until 13 over. I do stop and issue warning citations for equipment violations though.( not a citation )

Just my opinion, but in your post, you are sounding a bit like the rest of the popo haters out there. We all have some bad experiences no matter who we are or what we do, but to generalize like that makes everyone look bad. ( especially when it is another officer doing it) |
Sorry but thats how people will perceive us because of fellow officers who write chicken shit tickets....
