That clay idea is a good one! Thanx for the tip...as far as cutting out my own hood I don't think I can bring myself to do it! I drilled out the holes for my hood pins and that was waaaaay high on the pucker factor itself, I can't imagine cutting out a hole for the scoop! I think I'm gonna have it done somewhere...

So what do ya'll think a good setup would be? My 302 w/ the Edlebrock Performer package, 600 CFM, a 1 inch spacer, and the scoop without the extension or w/ the extension? I think i am gonna try that clay idea, I'm just hoping that one of ya'll perhaps has some more experience doing this. Thanx

Ok, just measured it, 5 1/2 inches from where the filter sits on the carb to the top of the hood, That caly trick worked BA!!!!
