After looking and measuring everything I think I will run the 1" spacer, perhaps the edlebrock, that will reduce my carb to hood clearance to 4 1/2". The hood scoop is about 5 inches tall, so if I go w/ the second one that has the extension I should be able to trim and fine tune the tube so that the bottom of the opening of the scoop is just about flush w/ the hood. I can't wait I have always wanted a hood scoop w/ butterflies on it since I was a little kid
I am still contemplating bumping up to a little bit bigger carb, I really may not need it though, I am pretty much stock except for the Edlebrock Performer package and Accel Ignition....
