Here's some modular stuff I guess I never posted.
4.6 SOHC PI stuff can be found in Cars 99 and newer and trucks 00 and newer.
You can get 20-30 HP from just the Cams and Intake from a PI car.
PI heads and cams are identical from ANY PI car OR truck. The only difference is windsor engines have pressed on cam gears, while Romeo's have bolt on.
PI Intake you'll want one from a Mid 01-04 GT and make sure it has the aluminum crossover.
02-05 Explorer 4.6 Engines are 01-04 GT engines except they have an aluminum block making them 80 lbs lighter. Use as longblock and swap over your Mustang PI intake.
Mark VIII Engines are 96-98 Cobra engines with these differences:
1. Intake cams are smaller. Swap any from 96-01 Cobra.
2. Intake manifold. Must use 96-98 cobra to make decent power.
3. Crank isn't forged. Cast crank is good until 600 rwhp. So no biggie, its also lighter.
These motors go for between $400-$1200
Lincoln Continental Engines:
Similar to Mark VIII Engine but FWD block. Cannot use block in RWD application. In 99 they switched to C heads like the 99 Cobras. Everything besides the block is swappable.
These go for even less than Mark VIII engines.
96-01 Cobra Intake cam in 03-04 4V engines is worth 15-20 hp at the top end.
99-04 GT Calipers are dual pistons instead of single and are 10 lbs lighter each than the 94-98 Caliper. You need brackets, calipers and pads. Rotors are the same. 94-95 Spindle needs slight grinding.
