I ran my 929 at SAR a couple years ago and learned that launching a bike was a lot harder on the clutch that I was comfortable with.

I'd rev to 5500 and slip passed the 60 and just let it go. The front would lift a tad but still was ok. Not too sure how the K-ZR's performance is, but slipping at a lower RPM like mentioned, 4k-4500rpm would be fine.
