I say it is better to leave early for a few reasons.
Less heat in the A/M.
Sun will not be smack dab in your face.
More beach time.
Saves gas in a convoy when cooler.
You are gonna wait for a check in to a motel that won't let you in til 3 pm, you cars will be packed anyway, so why not cruise earlier then later?
