used 8.8s in good shape can be very hard to come by... especially hard to find them for the proper year.
if you are talking about getting one from an old fox-body and converting it to five lug... sure it will work, but it will look pretty goofy on a 99-04. the fox body axle is narrow compared to the 99-04. even the 94-98 axle is not as wide as the 99-04, but not as narrow as the foxes.
