15.7 gal... I just go by the amount I drove (trip meter) divided by the amount I put in.

So you fill up and reset the trip meter and drive till your empty? Or when the LOW FUEL light comes on, and then do the math?

fill up all the way, drive till you are empty and divide the miles on your trip by the number of gallons in the tank.

I reset the trip meter when I fill up, but I don't always fill up at the same time. I try to fill up right before the low fuel light comes on. Regardless of when you fill up, if you divide your mileage from fill up by the number of gallons you put in at your next fill up (whether it's 1/2 empty or 3/4 empty), it will give you a relatively close estimate of your mileage.

EDIT: and I never drive until empty because you never know where you'll be when you run out!

Yeah, do it for a few weeks and kinda average them out. I've gotten 19mpg one week and 16 mpg the next. It all depends on the highway/city factor and how heavy you are on the pedal, so average it out. My best was 23mpg on a trip to austin and back, but lately I get about 17mpg mostly street.

I remember with my last one I was getting 14-16 mpg, pretty much all city driving. That was with 4.10s.

Gears go in on this one in the next couple weeks.

You know that if you run the tank too low it can cause the pump to get very hot and possibly fail sooner. The fuel in the tank is what cools it. I try to never run my car below and 1/8 of a tank unless I have to. Hell, most of the time I consider a 1/4 tank to be empty.

Just always leave the tank at a 1/4 and your next fill up will be cheaper.. lmao.

I get between 200-230 to my tank with 3.73's if I try to baby it with a few heavy right footers. I just can't keep out of the gas pedal, it is too hard to do. Maybe when gas breaks 5 bucks a gallon, I'll re-educate my right foot.

wow built motors suck down gas don't they jody? Last tank i got i got 21 mpg with my 4.10's with a heavy right foot.

meathod i use
fill tank
drive around until tank is on 1/4-1/2 tank and fill it
divide the amount of miles driven by the amount of gas you just put in.

the mycolor upgrade give you the option to change the colors on your gauges and also you give data like mpg, miles to empty, tire pressure, oil level, instant miles per gallon, timer, etc
