If I were you I would be looking for a cam heads and intake. The heads are going to be a big restriction. Good used heads and intakes are comonly availible. The B303 is not the greatest cam, but it will work and will work a lot better if you get some better heads and intake. If you stick with the B303 I would get a set of 1.7 racio rockers. As for heads the Twisted wedge heads are a good choice for the money and can be stepped up to work with about any combo you build in the future. The high ports and canfields will do the same. There are many other heads out there that will work. Since you have a 347 the increase in cubic inches will have many advantages, such as it will be much easier to make compression. So heads like the Dart Sr. will work well with their large chambers and ports. If you only had a 306 the big darts are not a good choice because they will lower your compression too much for a natrally asperated combination unless you buy some dome pistons. You should have gotten better heads and intake before going for more cubes. Since you have the 347 short block I would start looking for a good set of heads. As for buying a set of 351 or other stock heads. I would skip that idea I have found that by the time you get a set of larger valves, replace the guides, possible seats, screw instuds, machine the spring seats and a resurface. You have spent more than many of the aftermarket heads cost and the head you have will not flow what the aftermarket head will. Also many people install or try to install 2.02 or larger valves in stock heads, this is a waste of time and money, the heads will not flow enough to make use of a valve larger than a 1.94 and anything larger than a 1.94 will be shrouded by the combution chamber and will reduce air flow. I would not go larger than a 1.84 valve in stock head personaly. Then you get into needing to port the head that will make the head cost as some CNC ported aftemarket heads such as a AFR. I bought the Twisted Wedge heads on my car years ago, they were used, I only paid $600 for them. There is a company in China that is making copies of some of the Edlebrock heads. I think it may be the same company that makes the Typhoon intake, it is also a copy of an Edlebrock intake. I have seen these heads for sale in the $600 range new in the box. I think there are two versions, one is a copy of the Victor Jr the other is a copy of the Peformer or possibly the Peformer RPM. You can regularly find TW heads and GT40 Y and X heads and sometimes Peformer heads for less than $800 used. As for the intake for a milder engine possibly the Typhoon. The Cobra/GT40 are possibly the best intakes to use if you do not plan to go over 5500, they will make more power than most up to 5200. I you want more RPM and power the Performer RPM II is a very good choice. The TFS street heat is a good intake but the RPM II is better. The TFS Track Heat is a good intake if you plan on using a large set of heads and healthy cam and the Holley Systemax is the intake to use if you make a lot of power, but I would not use it unless you are making in the 400 hp or more or you are going to boost the engine. I you want a good combo that will make lots of power be streetable and have a strong low and mid range I would get a set of TW heads and the Performer RPM II and a Crower 15512 or 15513 cam with a 75mm TB and a 80mm MAF and some 36 lbs injectors and possibly a set of 1.7 rockers. Then when you have the money have someone that knows TW heads very well do some mild work on them they will need a little chamber work and some mild port work then they will out flow most of the more expensive heads.

My car is an '85 sonic blue coupe with 302 bored and stroked to 364, Ported Twisted Wedge heads and a BXR intake, A9M ECM with a Tweecer, C4 with trans brake, Hoosier 275/60/15 drag radials, no power adders. The car is still street driven, with a best of 10.21 at 131 mph with a 1.51 60' spinning lightly. With this combo it made a best of 460 hp and 410 lbs of torque at the wheels.
