You can pick up a set of Pro Comp aluminum heads on Ebay for about $650.00 that will out flow your E6 heads by a huge amount . Add a nice aftermarket intake of similiar size to the heads and spend a few bucks on a nice custom hydraulic roller camshaft and you could very well have a setup that could out run a combo thats got a lot more cash invested in it .

Here is a good read on pro comp heads < the aluminum cheapo ebay heads >

procomp head test

This is on the chevy ones but the ford heads are just as bad

Those heads are absolulte JUNK .. i have a customer who put TWO sets of the 190 cc one and both had bent valves right out the box ... then he got his third set a set of the 205 cc heads wich passed a vacume test finaly.

The car put down 240 rwhp with the 205 head a trick flow street heat intake and a tirck flow stage two cam anda ll the supporting mods .. and was lazy as hell down low with crap torque out put.

Those heads flow no where near what they claim either they are prety much junk UNLESS you buy them bare and have a reputable machine shop port them and then assemble them but by that time your gona have 1200 bucks into them so just buy a name brand head.

A ported stock heads can work well

i have a set of e-7 that have been exhaust ported and bowl blended and on a stock short block with a e-303 cam they made 285 + rwhp and made over 40 foot pounds more torque then the above motor with the pro comps.

and you can find heads like that cheap used im selling that set for 500 with a set of cobra 1.7 roller rockers.
