i've done one in my garage.
Just jack the car up a good bit and put it on four jack stands.
loosen the motor mounts and then jack the motor up just a tad.
I then used some weights and wood to support the motor under the oil pan.
then i did the removal and install.
just don't knock the motor support. LOL
