The las time on the dyno it made 459 hp, I don't know about the torque numbers. Previous best was 408 lbs of torque peak. This last time on the dyno it made 559 peak torque. I don't know why it spit out the torque numbers it did. To give you an idea what my results have been. When the car ran 395 hp and 406 lbs of torque at the wheels, it ran 127 to 128 mph at the track. When I fixed a few problems it made 422 hp 408 lbs of torque to the wheels, it ran 129 mph at the track. On this last trip it did 459 hp and 559 lbs of torque at the wheels after fixing a few more things, it ran 131 mph at the track. So I think the hp is close to correct, but the torque numbers have got to be wrong. I was not able to tune the car completely on this last trip, because the wide band on the dyno, I was on was not calibrated yet. So I was using my O2 sensor readings to tune it. I tuned it rich by my O2s because the are in the collectors and I am not sure how accurate they are that far down stream. The other problems that I know I had when I last tuned it were, first I did not have enough points in my MAF curve in the range where the car was running at WOT. So I was able to get the AFR close to where I wanted it at each point in the MAF curve, that were in the range the engine was running, but inbetween those points in the MAF curve it was going way rich. I also found that I was only running 30 degrees total timing, I am going to try to finnish tuning it this weekend i hope. I would bet it should pick up 20 to 25 hp once everything is right.
I ported the heads and intake, I also cooked up the cam specs. I had a set of 1 3/4" headers and a 3" exhaust system on the car previously that I had built, that worked very well. I was having trouble getting the car to hook on the radials and desided it was a result of the extra torque I was making with the 1 3/4" headers. When I changed to a set of 1 7/8" headers in the engine simulator that I use, it was indicating it would loose a lot of torque in the lower part of the power band and pick up about 17 hp on top, so I changed my exhaust to try to get the car to work. The power at that point hardly changed at all at the peak and I still had serious traction problems. It took a long time to get the car to finaly hook up with the 4.30 gears. For a long time after switching to the 4.30s the car usualy would run mid 1.60 60's and occationaly would run high 1.50 60's. I have finaly gotten it to regularly run lower 1.50 60's.

The goal is to get the car to run 10.0 on radials, with out a power adder and still be streetable.

85 sonic blue coupe with 302 bored and stroked to 364, Ported Twisted Wedge heads and a BXR intake, A9M ECM with a Tweecer, C4 with trans brake, 275/60/15 M/T drag radials, no power adders.
