I'll prep it just like for a ihra pro am,to hold 6 sec cars. What screws up the surface at madness is cars spitting exhaust water, and radial street tires ripping up the compound off the surface.Vast majority of the cars in POA will be on slicks which will keep rubber and adhesion on the track and during the event we'll tune the surface as needed. There will be times during the day when the track will start out tight and then mid afternoon when temps go up,like this past weekend,if the sun is bright and outside temp is in the mid to hi 80's that the track surface will reach 110-120 and loosen up a little. Then it will cool back down around 5pm and tighten back up.Good friend of mine made a pass last Sat around 5:30pm in his T/S car and he laid down a 6.93 in the right lane at near 200mph.Quickest pass he's ever made in his car.Beat his hi 6.9 at Pine Valley in Lufkin last year and I prepped that track also and he said the air was better at Lufkin than at SAR.So the track will be good. One thing I've learned traveling around to other tracks working races, prepping tracks in tx and other states, theres more racers that "dont" know how to read a track than "do".There's times during the day you can throw the hp at it and then there's times you have to back it off a little to run quick.
