So does anyone have any idea of what percentage of cars show up with street radials for the Pinks events? You talk about street radial cars removing the compound off of the track. I still remember the first time I ever went to a track. It was HRP about 19 years ago right after the Super Nationals. I ran like four runs, the car spun very hard every run. I was getting pissed that my car that I thought should run 13s, was only running 16s and 17s. On about the third run I noticed the starter giving me dirty looks while I was creeping along spinning the tires very hard, I did not know why he was pissed at me. When I got about 20 to 30 feet from the line I was looking in my rear view mirror woundering why the starter was giving the dirty looks and I saw that my rear tires were making trenchs about 1/4 to 3/8 in deep in the rubber on the line. At first I could not understand how my car was digging trenches in the track. Later someone found me and pointed out that I was making trenchs in the rubber on the starting line and that I was pissing off a bunch of people, so I was very unpoppular with the regular racers that day. So I ran one last pass and basicaly idled the car of off the starting line and the car went a 14.90.
