The bumpsteer kit is the way to go hands down, you won't have to worry then for the rack bushings. The rubber bushings (urethane) are more prone to a little give/flex, the aluminum have NO flex at all, very responsive.
With a lowered car, the bumpsteer kit, lower ball joints will give it with the correct geometry and awesome steering response.
