I am gess the car is a '79 to '82 car, possibly an early '83. They came with SRODs from the factory. If that is what is in the car, you should only need to replace the trans with shifter, bellhousing and possibly the cross member. Look for a later world class T5 from a 5.0. Some people will try to sell you a T5 out of a 4 cylinder or V6 car, the imput shaft is not correct. They will fit in the car but the front end of the imput shaft that goes into the pilot bearing is smaller than an 8 cylinder trans and they are also weaker.

The goal is to get the car to run 10.0 on radials, with out a power adder and still be streetable.
My car is an '85 sonic blue coupe with 302 bored and stroked to 364, Ported Twisted Wedge heads and a BXR intake, A9M ECM with a Tweecer, C4 with trans brake, Hoosier 275/60/15 drag radials, no power adders.
